Biography
Driven by a strong social purpose and creative vision, Edmund M. Einy, FAIA projects reflect the values of the people who occupy his buildings, the institutions they represent, and the communities they serve. His broad experience, leadership, and a collaborative approach have resulted in more than forty-five AIA / Design Awards. His work has been featured in national and international publications including Architectural Record, Progressive Architecture, Global Architecture, California Architect, and Architecture Magazine.
Edmund’s design leadership spans both public and private sector projects, including academic / institutional facilities, healthcare, government, and commercial buildings. From the initial definition of user needs through concept design, technical development, and implementation, his process is grounded in listening, building consensus, and helping clients define a vision uniquely suited to their goals. This approach has established him as a trusted partner to clients including the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, University of California, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Community College District, and the Superior Courts of Los Angeles County.
Edmund M. Einy, FAIA, holds a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Bachelor of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture. A visiting critic and instructor at the University of Southern California and the Southern California Institute of Architecture, Edmund also served for ten years as both chair and committee member of the AIA/LA Design Awards program, as well as on the Executive Board of Directors of AIA Los Angeles. He was recognized as one of the AIA/LA “100 Years / 100 Los Angeles Architects.” In 2015, Mr. Einy was elevated to the College of Fellows by the National Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
